10+ Red Carpet Recipes for Oscar Night (3/15)

Make Ahead Elegant Recipes for Oscar Night

The Academy Awards bring a little Hollywood glamour into our living rooms every year. Whether you’re watching for the fashion, the memorable speeches, or the suspense of the final awards, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gather friends together and serve something special.

To make entertaining easy and ensure you don’t miss a minute of the excitement, I’m sharing 10+ elegant, red-carpet-worthy recipes that can be prepared ahead of time - from bite-size appetizers and festive cocktails to main dish options, an easy side, and celebratory desserts.

Refined Recipes for the Red Carpet

1. Cocktails

Red Carpet Martini

A ruby-red, “sassy cousin” to the Cosmopolitan. This sweet-tart cocktail balances the kick of premium vodka with the sweetness of Cointreau & the tart punch of pomegranate.

Champagne Cocktail

This festive, bubbly favorite is the ultimate red-carpet toast. It uses the same vibrant pomegranate-citrus base but is topped with Champagne for a sophisticated, effervescent finish.

Entertaining Tip

Since the non-alcoholic ingredients for these two cocktails are the same, they’re incredibly easy to serve together. Mix a large batch of the Pomegranate Base (4 parts pomegranate juice, 2 parts Cointreau, and 1 part fresh lime juice) before guests arrive.

For a Martini: Shake 3½ oz of the base with 1¾ oz vodka over ice.
For a Sparkler: Pour 2½ oz of the base into a flute and top with chilled Champagne.

Appetizers

Curry Shrimp Bites

Zesty and colorful, these savory bites feature delicate chopped shrimp in a bold curry sauce, served in crisp phyllo shells for the perfect crunch.

Mini Cheese Balls

Not your average cheese ball. Rolled in toasted nuts or fresh herbs and made with different cheeses, these bite-sized starters are always a hit.

Smoked Salmon Mousse in Poppy Seed Puffs

Light-as-air choux pastry filled with tangy, subtly smoky salmon mousse - a sophisticated one-bite nod to old Hollywood glamour.

Prosciutto, Fig, & Goat Cheese Tarts

Savory, sweet, and incredibly easy to serve. These elegant little bites are assembled ahead and frozen.

Mains & Sides

Spinach Stuffed Salmon

A Clayton family favorite! Flaky roasted salmon filled with a savory, creamy spinach stuffing. Elegant, colorful, and perfect for a special evening.

Pork Tenderloin Stuffed with Spinach

A show-stopping centerpiece that can be prepped ahead and roasted just before serving. Lean and tender with a savory spinach filling and tangy mustard glaze.

Lemon Rice

Bright, creamy, and easy to prepare, this flavorful rice pairs beautifully with both the salmon and pork.

Desserts

Pavlova

An impressive dessert with a crisp shell and marshmallow-soft center. Topped with whipped cream and fresh berries, it’s a true show-stopper.

Chocolate Mousse

The ultimate indulgence that's quick and easy to prepare. Light and airy yet deeply chocolatey, it can be portioned into individual glasses or ramekins for easy serving.
