6 Seafood Suppers to Brighten Your Table

Seafood Suppers: From Comfort to Showstoppers

March always brings seafood to the front of my mind. Whether it’s the tradition of Lent, the promise of spring just around the corner, or simply a craving for dinners that feel a bit lighter, there is something about this month that calls for a change of pace. Seafood fits that mood perfectly - it’s elegant without being fussy, making it just as lovely for a dinner with friends as it is for a quiet, lingering evening at home.

If you’re ready to bring a taste of the sea to your kitchen, here are 6 of my favorite seafood suppers. These recipes range from impressive showstoppers to the kind of fresh, colorful dishes that truly brighten the table. I’ve also included a suggested wine pairing for each recipe to help you perfectly accent the meal!

Showstoppers

Seafood Phyllo Bundles

Buttery, flaky parcels filled with rich seafood that are impressive enough for guests, yet surprisingly doable at home.

Wine pairing: Sauvignon Blanc (crisp, bright)

Mom's Bouillabaisse

A deeply flavorful, tomato-saffron seafood stew that transforms an ordinary evening into something memorable.

Wine pairing: Dry Rosé (fresh, herbaceous)

Baked & Comforting

Seafood Au Gratin

Bubbly and golden with a creamy cheese sauce; the kind of dish that makes everyone linger at the table.

Wine pairing: Chardonnay (balanced)

Baked Shrimp with Tomatoes & Feta

Bright Mediterranean flavors baked together for a dinner that feels fresh but still satisfying.

Wine pairing: Pinot Grigio (zesty, refreshing)

Fresh & Fun

Shrimp Tacos with Tomato-Mango Salsa

Light, colorful, and perfect when you’re looking for something a little more casual.

Wine pairing: Albariño (citrusy, mineral-driven)

Crab & Shrimp Salad with Curry Dressing

Cool, creamy, and subtly spiced, this salad is lovely for a luncheon or an easy supper.

Wine pairing: Off-Dry Riesling (lightly sweet, aromatic)

I’d love to know which one you’re making first!

Whether you’re making bouillabaisse for a special occasion or whipping up shrimp tacos for a Tuesday night dinner, I hope these recipes bring a little bit of that early spring sunshine to your kitchen.

Happy cooking!

My Versions of the Masters Menu Favorites The Masters Tournament begins today at Augusta National Golf Club. It’s a sporting event steeped in tradition, from the iconic green jacket to the fact that it's played the same weekend, on the same historic course, every year. So why does a food blogger who doesn’t play golf love the Masters? Because that same sense of tradition extends to the food. The Augusta menu has remained virtually unchanged for decades; it's famously simple and subtly...

collage of 4 dishes to serve while watching March Madness

Game-Worthy Recipes for March Madness Weekend I never paid much attention to basketball until I married Robert, but now, I’m completely hooked. Every year, we start watching the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament from the very beginning and follow it through to the Final Four and championship game. It’s the perfect excuse to settle in, watch some incredibly exciting match ups, mix up a good cocktail, and enjoy delicious food. Instead of typical heavier game-day fare, I like to serve dishes that...
